About JOJO

Manga has long been an integral part of Japanese culture, not only reflecting society but also playing a significant role in shaping its values and cultural identity.
Among the countless works that have emerged, I believe JoJo's Bizarre Adventure by Araki Hirohiko stands out as one of the most important. Although it is often treated as a source of internet memes and jokes, beneath its eccentric style lies a remarkably serious exploration of fundamental questions about human nature. In that respect, JoJo is in a class of its own.
I'd like to record here the “truth” that I have received from JoJo. As needed, I will add supplementary information regarding Japan’s cultural background, the circumstances at the time, and language-specific expressions.
